Welcome Letter

Are you ready for "Camp-In-A-Box?"

Alpenglow volunteers have such a passion for Summer Camp that we couldn’t fathom not offering our camp program during this Summer of Quarantine.

We’ve been working hard to develop a week of fun, engaging camp activities through our “Camp in a Box” program. Our amazing volunteers are dedicated to providing a week of inspired, quality activities in our “Camp in a Box” box, which includes all materials and tools needed for the week’s camp activities.

Alpenglow Day Camp prides itself on having extraordinary volunteer staff and teens to lead our camp programs.

Our camp volunteers were each hand-picked for our camp team because of their positive energy and dedication to our mission of supporting girls in developing strong interpersonal skills and independence through experiencing nature.

Our teens have been trained to build connections with girls by creating an environment that promotes empathy and acceptance.

We welcome all campers to discover and celebrate who they and are passionate about providing the “camp connection” component to our “Camp in a Box” experience through our daily Zooms.

We will offer an opening ceremony with all campers, unit time in groups of 10-15 campers with a unit leader and teen leader, and 3 program zoom meetings to help guide campers through the “Camp in a Box” activities.

Time spent at camp offers enduring opportunities for spiritual, personal, and social growth. Whether singing silly camp songs, appreciating the sounds of nature outside, laughing deeply among friends new and old, or trying something new and succeeding, campers can’t help but feel something profound, something bigger than themselves.

Camp is a place where memories and life-long friendships are formed and although “Camp in a Box” will be a new way to deliver Camp Program. Our Alpenglow team knows what makes camp special and are dedicated to providing your camper and family a week of fun, creativity, and connection.

Yours in Girl Scouting,

Pickle and Nobody
